About Me

- I have always been drawn to the vibrant colors one finds during fall foliage. I knew an artist lived inside me, but had not found a way to let her shine. When my first child was born in 1992, I began taking photos as new parents do. I received an old Pentax 35mm film camera and with that my inner artist came alive. After photography classes and an upgrade to a Nikon digital camera in 2005, I decided to pursue photography professionally. Having had success for years focusing on portraits, I realized I needed to follow my passion for nature photography. While most of my work is freelance, I am available for hire for scenic or artistic settings. Several of my photos have been published in local, national and international publications. I also love animals and volunteer my time and skills to the Louisa Humane Society. You can find my art in small studios and store front settings, including but not limited to framed photographs, matted prints, greeting and postcards.
